Kennedy Agyapong is Number 1 on the voting paper for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer competition.


Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is Number 3 on the vote paper after the NPP performed the balloting for posts on Friday, October 10.


The exercise, conducted on Friday, October 10, saw the former Assin Central MP take the top spot.


The order of balloting is as follows:


  1. Kennedy Agyapong
  2. Bryan Acheampong
  3. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia
  4. Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum
  5. Kwabena Agyepong

The NPP will hold its flagbearer elections on January 31, 2026, as part of its preparations for the 2028 general elections.


The flagbearer hopefuls have already started visiting the whole country, meeting delegates to campaign.
