NPP Announces Balloting Outcome , Here’s the Full Order of Aspirants on the 2026 Primary Ballot

Accra, October 10, 2025 — The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially announced the results of the balloting held today for the 2026 Presidential Aspirant Election. The exercise, conducted at the party’s national headquarters in Asylum Down, was overseen by the NPP’s Presidential Elections Committee and attended by the aspirants (or their representatives), party executives, and observers. The party reiterated its commitment to transparency, fairness, and adherence to democratic principles in its internal processes. 

Below is the order in which the five aspirants will appear on the ballot paper:

In its statement, the NPP emphasised that all aspirants who fulfilled the party’s vetting requirements were eligible to take part in the balloting. The Deputy General Secretary, Haruna Mohammed, reminded all contestants that the guidelines are grounded in the party’s constitution and must be strictly followed. 

Reactions and Next Steps

The campaign team for Kennedy Agyapong described the process as fair and transparent and expressed satisfaction with securing the No. 1 position, which they believe could confer a visibility advantage. 

With the ballot positions now determined, aspirants will intensify outreach to delegates across the regions ahead of the party’s presidential primary, scheduled for January 31, 2026. 

The NPP leadership has called on all aspirants and their supporters to maintain unity, decorum, and respect for the process as the party moves toward its internal election.
