In a significant twist in the ongoing trial of former Signals Bureau Boss, Kwabena Adu Boahene, one of the accused persons, Mildred Donkor, has been discharged after the State withdrew all charges against her.

Sources close to the prosecution confirm that the decision followed an agreement between Donkor and the State in which she consented to testify against the principal accused person, Mr. Adu Boahene. Her cooperation is expected to provide crucial evidence in advancing the prosecution’s case.

The former Signals Bureau Boss is currently facing charges related to alleged misconduct and abuse of office during his tenure. The court proceedings are set to continue next week, with Donkor anticipated to take the stand as a key witness for the State.

Legal analysts say the development could mark a turning point in the trial, potentially strengthening the prosecution’s hand as it seeks to establish the former official’s culpability
