President Mahama Heads to Western Region to Cut Sod for Dualization of Cape Coast–Takoradi Road
President John Dramani Mahama is set to visit the Western Region today to officially cut the sod for the commencement of the dualization of the 73.6-kilometre Cape Coast–Takoradi Road.
The project, a key component of government’s infrastructure development agenda, aims to enhance road safety, ease traffic congestion, and promote trade and tourism between the Central and Western Regions.
The dualization of the major highway is also expected to boost economic activities along the corridor, connecting key coastal towns and improving transportation for residents, businesses, and travelers.
Government officials, traditional leaders, and stakeholders in the transport sector are expected to join the President at the ceremony.
