National Service Registration: Data mismatch recognized as a severe setback.
This information is included in a press release authorized by the Director-General of the NSA, Ruth Dela Seddoh.
“In light of the announcement and launch of the National Service Portal on Wednesday, 8th October, 2025, Management has noted several concerns regarding the current online registration process for the 2025/26 batch.” The press release dated October 9 highlighted a significant issue: some prospective national service personnel are unable to register on the portal because of data mismatches.
“Currently, the Authority has identified incorrect Date of Birth (DOB) and Name(s) as the primary challenges,” it stated.
The NSA has requested that applicants complete the following tasks:
I. In cases where the details of a prospective national service personnel, as provided by their tertiary institution, do not align with their Ghana Card, the individual in question is required to swear an affidavit, have it gazetted, and submit it to the school. The school will subsequently transmit the information to the Authority for the purpose of updating its records, thus enabling the personnel to complete their registration.
II. If the details of a prospective national service personnel as submitted by his/her tertiary institution were incorrectly captured by the said tertiary institution, the prospective national service personnel must notify the institution of the error. The tertiary institution shall rectify the error and communicate the same to the Authority.
III. Tertiary institutions should submit corrected details via classlist@nss.gov.gh and copy in tweneboakkodua.nss.gov.gh.
The NSA assured that it “is committed to ensuring that all eligible prospective personnel duly register to undertake their mandatory national service in areas of national priority for national development.”
“In case of further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our District and Regional offices for the necessary support. Alternatively, you may kindly contact our support services at the Head Office,” it urged.
