The high-level meetings bring together finance ministers, central bank governors, development partners, and global investors to discuss pressing global economic challenges and strategies for sustainable development.

This year’s gathering holds particular significance for Ghana as the country has reached a major milestone under its $3 billion Extended Credit Facility (ECF) programme with the IMF. The Ghanaian delegation is expected to engage in discussions focused on debt restructuring progress, fiscal consolidation, and policies aimed at restoring macroeconomic stability and promoting inclusive growth.

Dr. Forson and his team will also hold bilateral meetings with officials from the IMF, World Bank, and international investors to explore new avenues for development financing, investment partnerships, and strategies to strengthen Ghana’s economic resilience amid global uncertainties.

The delegation’s participation underscores Ghana’s continued commitment to fiscal discipline, transparency, and collaboration with international partners to achieve sustainable economic recovery and long-term growth.
